what are you doing now?
hmm lets see…im stuck at my house with this faalavelave bullshit…my plan was to just go to the gym and go out tonight until the samoan stuff is done for the night, and lord knows because faalavelave’s can go all the way till the next day. So yeah. If your wondering why im trying not to be affiliated with this culture part is NOT because I don’t like my culture, I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH. But my Mom told ALL OF US that she wants NO FA’A SAMOA for her preparations for her big day. And what does my grandpa and aunty’s and uncles do? well DAMN we are having a small one right now. I know I should stay for respect but the love I have for my mother and BOTH or love we have for the CHURCH? thats why I am very angry. Also, because they are going against what she wanted. Im trying, TRYING very hard to put this things down and not make a big deal out of it but its hard. It really is. I mean come on, if that was your mom and you KNOW that every thing she asked for is POSSIBLE to do then why wouldn’t you do it? I understand that my Dad can’t help it because its just our culture and our other families are royalty and are STRONG into the culture but I really REALLY think that no matter what? GOD COMES FIRST. And the if the saying of Samoa “Muamua Le Atua” doesn’t ring a bell to them well damn…they aint strong into the culture right? Its obvious, simple, right in front of our face! Our culture is STRONGLY based on serving the Lord, thats why we live by the saying “Muamua Le Atua”. GOD FIRST. So when we got baptized in our church and followed his teaching and words, we were supposed to drop any cultural practices and tradition as well. So its easy as that and SOOOOOO understanding. Im not angry, just irritated…I leave it in prayer as always. I always, and will never stop sacrificing for the lord and for this family. Because I just love it so much. so yes. Im P.U.S.H. (Praying Until Something Happens). Never giving up. My patience is very high so im all G. :)
